Personal Statement:

My focus is on building the bridge between art and audience. There is an idea of theatre being an art form for either the rich and privileged or those fully immersed in the artistic realm, with overlap of course. This tends to leave out a large group, the working class. It doesn't have to. Everyone can enjoy theatre. Even the wildest, headiest, absurdist of plays can be broken down and grounded into universal truths making them accessible to anyone who sits in the audience that evening. By approaching a play with empathy and grounding this goal can be achieved.

And because I am a bridge my work strives to connect art to everyone. To make art less intimidating but maintain its flavor and boldness. To finding grounding in the heady, clarity in the confusion and empathy in the conflict.

Because art is for everyone.
